SubjectsImmanuel Christian Secondary School is seeking a Humanities High School teacher to join their team who will be responsible to teach English and Social Studies at the High School level. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic and a flexible team player who possess the following:

• The ability to integrate the school\'s Christian mission and vision within the subject materials.
• An understanding of Christian Education;
• Competency in teaching the craft of writing and reading.
• Ability to teach Bible/Christian Worldview Classes.
• Previous leadership in Athletics will be considered an asset.
• Strong collaborative skills;
• Proven skillset for differentiated instruction;
• Previous experience with Christian education will be considered an asset.

Requirements

• Applicants must posses or be eligible to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
• Applicants are required to submit a philosophy of Christian Education as part of their application.
• Applicants must provide one reference from a faith based organization.

Conditions of EmploymentIn order to ensure and maintain a safe and secure working and learning environment, applicants new to Lethbridge SchoolDivision who are offered employment must provide:

• A police information check; including Vulnerable Sector Check from Police Services or an RCMP detachment that does not have any charges or convictions.
• A satisfactory Intervention Record Check from South Region Alberta Child and Family Services.
• Proof of photo identification, may be a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s licence, provincial identification card as issued by a licensed government registry office, valid passport or Nexus card. If one cannot be provided, a new card must be obtained and proof of application provided within three days of hire.
• Documentation of a valid Social Insurance Number in the employee\xe2\x80\x99s legal name. If valid Social Insurance documentation in the current legal name can not be provided, the successful candidate will be required to obtain a new one within three days of hire.
