Seasonal Snow Removal

We are currently scouting a member to join our Snow Removal team in Saskatoon. In this casual position, you will be responsible for clearing snow and mitigating ice from Kreos aprons, parking lots and sidewalks using a variety of heavy equipment, snow blowers and hand tools. This work requires a strong approach for safety and attention to detail. The hours will be primarily evenings and weekends, with potential for some early mornings. Hours will range from 8 to 20 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

Use front end loader and skid steers to remove snow from Kreos properties, as well as contracted properties.

Use shovels/snowblowers/backpack blowers to remove snow from sidewalks on Kreos properties.

Using mechanical sweeper on properties to get snow and ice down to pavement.

Mitigating ice using a combination of salt, deicing spray and hand scraping.

Daily quality and safety control checks and tests on snow removal equipment.

Housekeeping and minor repairs on equipment and facilities as required.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will reflect Kreos' unrelenting culture of exceptional service and will demonstrate the following:

Experience using heavy equipment for snow removal. Experience with CASE 321F and Bobcat S185 is considered

an asset.

Experience with mechanical sweepers and articulating snow blades considered an asset.

Ability to work independently and safely.

Ability to lift 50 pounds, unassisted.

Ability to work for prolonged periods outdoors in conditions as low as -25C.

Ability to pass the Airside Vehicle Operators permit exam.

Basic Mechanical aptitude.

Pay: $17.75-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
