Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Snow Removal Technician to ensure safe and efficient clearing of snow and ice from residential, commercial, and public properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance, construction, or mechanical work, with the ability to operate various tools and equipment. This role is essential for maintaining accessibility and safety during winter months, requiring physical stamina and attention to detail. Applicants should be prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and possess a proactive approach to snow management.

Responsibilities

Operate snow removal equipment such as plows, shovels, and blowers to clear driveways, walkways, parking lots, and other designated areas Use hand tools and power tools for snow and ice mitigation as needed Perform routine maintenance on equipment including excavators, mechanical parts, and other landscape machinery Assist with irrigation system protection and winterization procedures when necessary Conduct landscape maintenance tasks related to snow management, including minor repairs or adjustments to landscape features post-snowfall Ensure all work areas are safe by removing hazards like ice patches or accumulated snow Collaborate with team members to complete snow removal efficiently and within designated timeframes

Skills

Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators is a plus Mechanical knowledge related to landscape or construction equipment Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance practices Knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance techniques Strong understanding of safety protocols related to snow removal and construction activities Ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy loads and operating equipment for long durations Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and efficiency
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $18.56-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 36 per week
