What You'll Be Doing




As a Pastry Cook II, you will be an integral part of our award-winning kitchen team, creating exceptional pastries and desserts that elevate the guest experience.

Prepare and execute high-quality pastry items for plated desserts, buffets, banquets, and a la carte menus Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all pastry products Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards Collaborate with the Pastry Chef and broader culinary team to develop seasonal offerings and daily features Monitor inventory, assist in ordering supplies, and minimize waste through proper storage and rotation Support training of junior team members and contribute to a positive team culture Adhere to all hotel and kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards Perform other related duties as assigned, ensuring smooth kitchen operations


Qualifications

What We're Looking For:



2-4 years of experience in a professional pastry or baking environment (hotel, restaurant, or banquet) Creativity and passion for pastry arts with a strong eye for detail and presentation Valid Food Safe certification Diploma or certification in Baking & Pastry or Culinary Arts (an asset) Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume kitchen Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a collaborative team player Reliable, responsible, and committed to excellence Enthusiastic and positive attitude, with a focus on delivering memorable guest experiences Ability to maintain composure and focus in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Flexible to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preference will be given to applicants who can commit to the full duration of the season (October 2025, to February 2026)

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):



Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift Comfortable lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly Ability to kneel, bend, push, pull, and climb stairs as needed Capacity to work in hot, cold, and humid kitchen environments
