The Role:

We are looking for motivated and reliable

Independent Contractors

to join our dynamic team for the upcoming event season. In this physically demanding role, you will be crucial to the successful setup, dismantling, and transportation of event equipment. You'll be working outdoors in various weather conditions, so a positive attitude and readiness for physical work are key. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for your own tax remittances and will receive a T4A slip for services rendered. While this is a seasonal contract position, successful contractors may be considered for re-engagement in future seasons.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely load, unload, and transport tents, tables, chairs, staging, and other event equipment to and from client sites. Assist with the setup and dismantling of tents and other rental items, following safety protocols and instructions. Operate company vehicles (e.g., cube vans, pick-up trucks) in a safe and responsible manner. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment. Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and stored. Assist with warehouse duties, including organizing inventory and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Valid G-Class Ontario Driver's License with a clean driving record. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.). Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude. Reliable and punctual. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Basic understanding of tools and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in general labour, warehousing, or event setup. Experience driving cube vans or larger commercial vehicles. Open to students/newcomers
Potential for re-engagement in future seasons for strong performers.
