Screen/Pad Printing Operator

to join our team. When necessary, he or she will also cross-train and participate in other aspects of the production environment.

Permanent Full Time position: Avg. 37.50 hrs/ week (5 days)

Production Responsibilities:

Perform quality control on all produced items. Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing products. Report and replace any defective item prior to packing. Organize space arrangements for incoming shipments in the storage areas. Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed. Trim, clean up, and fold the product in preparation for shipping.

Screen/PAD Printing Responsibilities:

Operate screen printing presses and pad printing machines efficiently for textiles and drinkware. Experience with setting up capillary films and emulsions. Handle screen preparation processes, such as stretching, screen selection, degreasing, and film emulsion coating. Mix and match inks to achieve the correct colors, adhering to company or client standards. Ensure prints are properly cured using ovens, UV units, or air drying methods, depending on ink type. Inspect prints for defects such as smudges, misalignment, or color inconsistencies. Maintain and clean and organized work environment, ensuring that any ink spills are immediately cleaned up.

Equipment Maintenance

Clean screens, pads, squeegees, and other tools after each run. Perform routine maintenance on printing presses to prevent downtime. Maintain a clean and organized workspace following safety standards.

Experience:

Previous experience in screen printing, pad printing, or a related printing field. Experience with setting up capillary films and emulsions. Familiarity with printing machinery and processes. Physical ability to stand, lift, and handle materials for extended periods.
