Job Overview:
  • The position requires a broad understanding of SCM concepts, processes, and ability to navigate amongst the internal supply chain team to support business client requirements.
  • The successful candidate will provide support to site SCM leadership and business clients on activities related to process improvements, commercial strategy deployment, strategic supplier management, and base business continuous improvement initiatives, related to the delivery of goods and services.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Provide trusted partner engagement by maintaining in depth knowledge and understanding of the SCM priorities to deliver on various objectives and goals of the Business Units (BU).
  • Meet the demands of multiple clients, including external partners, with the appropriate sense of urgency, while educating internal partners on SCM procedures and ensuring adherence to these procedures.
  • Participate in cross functional teams to identify and address current and future demands to support SCM planning.
  • Align with Centre of Excellence (COE) contracting and procurement strategies, and interface with material inventory management to enable optimal inventory management.
  • Align procurement activities with the purchasing strategy and procurement plan, address any issues and raise those which are unresolved.
  • Support/develop, and lead action plans to improve procurement compliance and efficiency (cost reduction & strategy leakage).
  • Lead Buy Better / Spend Better initiatives to reduce Total Cost of Ownership and optimize commercial strategies.
  • Support/implement/maintain SCM service level agreements and manage KPI targets.
  • Support stewardship delivery to BU stakeholders through LT/ACFT/CFT platforms.
  • Support incident management (Enablons) & Element 10 compliance (Supplier Management).
  • Support / manage key issues and critical escalations that support the day-to-day delivery of goods and services.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in procurement, contracts, logistics management, inventory management and/or warehouse operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and SAP
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills as well as strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • A positive work ethic and you perform well with limited supervision
Experience and Education:
  • Five or more years of related experience; preferably in SCM with a deep understanding of end-to-end business processes (contracting, purchasing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, work order life cycle, kitting/staging, reverse logistics, and warehousing)
  • An undergraduate degree in supply chain, business administration, or a technical field.
Preference for:
  • Oil and gas industry experience.
  • Experience leading a team, project, and/or improvement initiatives.
  • Previous Experience is an asset.
