SAP Finance Applications Lead
Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid: 50% office / 50% remote)
Travel: 10?15% (site visits as needed)
Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Finance Applications Lead to manage and optimize their enterprise application landscape, with a primary focus on SAP S/4HANA Finance (FICO) and related modules. This role combines functional leadership, application management, and project delivery to ensure their financial systems support business objectives, drive efficiency, and maintain compliance.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead SAP Finance Application Management
  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of SAP FICO and related modules (MM, SD, PM, PS).
  • Ensure system reliability, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business needs.
  • Project Delivery & Process Optimization
  • Drive SAP-related projects, including upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to design and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Governance & Compliance
  • Manage application changes following Change Management principles, including transport management.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and IT General Controls.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal teams for application support and enhancements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear updates and influencing adoption of best practices.
  • Service Delivery & Reporting
  • Monitor service performance, SLAs, and user satisfaction; implement improvement plans.
  • Prepare and analyze service delivery metrics and financial reports.
Experience & Skills
  • 5+ years managing SAP enterprise applications, with hands-on experience in FICO configuration and integration.
  • Proven track record in SAP project implementation and support.
  • Familiarity with MM, SD, PM, PS, and SuccessFactors is an asset.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes, budgeting, and vendor management.
  • Ability to prepare RFPs/RFIs and manage external service providers.
  • Knowledge of G-Suite and proficiency in Spanish is an asset.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Finance, or Business (or equivalent experience).
  • SAP Certification in Finance or related modules preferred.
  • ITIL certification is an advantage.
