Sap Finance And Controlling (fi/co) Consultant

Job Description

Our Vancouver-based client is seeking an experienced SAP Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) Consultant to join their project immediately for a long-term contract, with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate will have extensive functional knowledge in SAP FI/CO, including configuration, project implementation, and experience with: Master Data GL Account, Cost Center, Profit Center, WBS Element, Business Partners, Material Master (Accounting View), Asset Management. Transactional Data Open Items (AP, AR, WBS Element, Asset), GL Balances, etc. This is a remote position, but occasional travel to the client site is expected.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements and design, build, and configure SAP FI/CO solutions to meet business needs.
  • Perform hands-on configuration in SAP FI/CO modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), and Internal Orders.
  • Support the integration of FI/CO with other SAP modules (like MM, SD, PP) and non-SAP systems.
  • Actively participate in end-to-end project implementation phases: blueprinting, realization, testing, final preparation, and go-live support.
  • Provide post-go-live support, including troubleshooting, resolving issues, and implementing enhancements.
  • Manage and execute system enhancements and change requests.
  • Oversee and guide the maintenance and governance of critical master data, including GL Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, WBS elements, Business Partners, and Asset Master Records.
  • Analyze and reconcile transactional data, including open item management (AP, AR, Assets) and general ledger account balances.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Prepare end-user documentation and conduct training sessions for business users.
  • Work closely with the client's business and IT teams to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, issues, and risks to project managers and key stakeholders.
  • Travel to the client site as required for key project milestones, workshops, and meetings.
