General Description

The position involves the repetitive weighing of soil/rock powders for the chemical laboratory. The shift would be approximately from

3:00pm - 11:00pm.

Education

High School Diploma

Requirements

Exhibit strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills

Demonstrate initiative, reliability and common sense Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure Ability to meet deadlines and targets Good manual dexterity and basic computer skills Effective verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and participate as a team member as required Good interpersonal skills Work safely and conscientiously consistent with Company Policies Compliance with the company's Health & Safety and Professional Conduct Policies

Responsibilities

May include some or all of the following; or any other tasks assigned directly or indirectly by the department manager

Complete and maintain required logs Label samples received, test tubes and package boxes Sort samples Ability to follow written or verbal instructions to weigh samples for analysis Archive samples and record location Weigh samples using a decimal balance Catalogue and inventory all samples after work is complete Maintain and report equipment issues as they relate to sample weigh and production related issues Communicate effectively with team members Maintain departmental housekeeping Assist in ensuring turnaround time meets client's requirements
