The Research and Productivity Council (RPC) is New Brunswick's provincial research organization, a research & technology organization that offers analytical and applied research services. In business since 1962, we serve over 1000 clients annually from our locations in Fredericton and Moncton, NB. RPC offers a challenging work environment with the opportunity to work on leading edge science.

We are recruiting to fill a position for a Sample Login Technician. This position is in office and will be located at our (Fredericton) location.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Receive and log sample submissions from our clients

Interact both with clients and our analytical departments with respect to analytical requirements and issues.

Assist with customer interactions coming from Reception and/or Shipping& Receiving, in French and English.

Organize ingoing and outgoing mail

Answer and forward phone calls

General clerical duties

REQUIREMENTS:

High school graduate with some post-secondary preferred. Aptitude for multi-tasking and working effectively in a fast-paced environment Fluent in both official languages Customer service focus Strong computer skills Attention to detail Organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to solve problems and work independently

THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE CONSIDERED ASSETS:

Previous experience working in a lab, or similar environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office
This is a full-time, on-site position. Hours of work are 8:15 to 4:30 Monday thru Friday with flexibility to work occasional overtime. Compensation range is $43,000 to $51,000 and will be commensurate with education and experience.
