  • What is the opportunity? The Personal and Commercial Banking (P&CB) arm of RBC is in the preparation stages of launching a ground breaking program to deliver the best customer experiences by equipping our advisors with the very latest technology and processes in the industry. We have partnered with Salesforce to build out our next generation CRM Advisor Platform, the cornerstone of this critical transformational program. Together, we’re aiming to take a giant leap towards our goal of becoming a digitally enabled relationship bank.
    Of course, the journey would not be possible without world class talent. We’re in search for Salesforce Functional Analyst to help us break new technology ground. You’ll be joining a diverse and inclusive agile lab delivering solutions on Salesforce’s Financial Services Cloud. We’re pulling all the stops and employing the latest in technology and scaled agile practices to help bring to life the CRM Advisor Platform of the future here at RBC.

  • What will you do?
  • Facilitating workshops for gathering business requirements and documenting them in the form of user stories, story maps, features, epics using agile tools and processes to develop/enhance functionality on the Salesforce platform
  • Assessing current state, identifying, and documenting process flow maps, and defining the future state and or business solution
  • Leading product owners through industry standard Salesforce best practices and giving them directions to make the end user experience better
  • Configure Salesforce functionality and give demos to stakeholders
  • Reviewing/updating program Jira board on a regular basis to align Jira stories with the program goals and identifying gaps in Salesforce platform and Integration stories/design
  • Collaborating with functional leads, PO’s, Tech Leads and other RBC integration systems to discuss scope, overall design and goals related to the capability at Business Resource Planning sessions every quarter and throughout the grooming process
  • Developing Salesforce platform design specifications in agreement with RBC internal partners and CRM Architecture teams and in collaboration with tech leads and documenting them in Jira and confluence
  • Attend scrum ceremonies of appropriate squads
  • Working closely with the development, QA and data load team and providing support during development and testing phases
  • What do you need to succeed?
    Must-have
  • Hands-on experience supporting Salesforce CRM platform
  • 3+ years working as a Functional Analyst with proven experience in agile delivery, in the area of requirements management on large and complex projects
  • Combination of traditional business analysis skills with lean/agile analysis skills, and the ability to identify the need for and use techniques from either skillset (system context diagrams, use cases, storyboards, relative estimation)
  • Experience in requirements planning and prioritization
  • Requirements elicitation techniques such as Data Analysis, Document Analysis, Interviews, Facilitated Workshops, Observation, Prototyping
  • Requirements management and communication – requirements walkthroughs; scope and change management; traceability; configuration management, backlog management & prioritization
  • Skills to showcase configuration capabilities during the interview
  • Nice-to-have
  • Relevant college, university, or post-graduate degree in Business Analysis or related education (CBAP, PMI-PBA)
  • Experience implementing CRM solutions in the financial sector and Salesforce certifications
  • Critical Thinking and Design Thinking skills with experience in User Centered Design
  • Recent retail branch experience
