Job Title: Sales Representative ? Commercial and Residential We are seeking a/an Sales Representative to join the Western Canada(Alberta and Saskatchewan) Sales team. This position will be reporting into the Regional Sales Manager for Western Canada this role is to maintain and expand Rockwool?s function as a major supplier of insulation to the commercial and residential market on a profitable basis, and to sell Rockwool products in line with the appropriate sales budget and within agreed departmental costs. To manage the assigned territory in such a way that it meets the agreed objectives. Representing the Company in accordance with its policies in the territory assigned. Creating demand and soliciting orders for the products assigned. Maintaining awareness of local competitive conditions in the assigned territory and reporting them promptly to management. Demos and Product knowledge sessions of Distributor staff, LBM (Lumber building materials) stores staff, Specialty Distributors, Installers, General contractors Builders,/ Key Influencers etc. Ready to help build a better future for generations to come?   • You will become part of the Western Canada Sales team. The team consists of 4 members currently.
What you will be doing:
  • Achieve budget performance in the assigned sales territory.
  • Drive profitable growth within the assigned sales territory.
  • Cultivate relationships with customers and colleagues ensuring long term success.
  • Account management and business development.
  • Calling on a mix of accounts including but not limited to Distributors, LBM, Specialty distributors, Installers, Builders and General Contractors.
  • Project tracking the Specification Manager and execute a pull-through strategy.
  • Strategic Accounts planning sessions with key customers.
  • Ongoing Market analysis to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Live the ROCKWOOL values and provide territory leadership aligned with goals provided.
  • Make full use of all digital tools including CRM tracking 100% of activity on a weekly basis, usage of CMD to track projects progress and find new project opportunities.
  • Facilitate customer meetings with the Western Canada Regional Sales Manager.
  • Participation in Trade, Customer, Contractor, Consumer, influencer Shows.
  • Providing information and solving problems for customer?s account.
  • Increasing customers product mix.
  • Introducing new products and literature to accounts.
  • Keeping accounts aware of Rockwool market activities.
  • Sales Reports as requested.
  • Price Surveys, Picking up flyers.
  • Market intel surveys.
  • Discuss product discounts outside of pre agreed limits with your manager
  • Always operate the Company Vehicle in a safe and courteous manner observing the rules of the road.
  • Maintain the vehicle in accordance with the manufacturer?s specifications and maintain the vehicle in a clean and orderly standard required of vehicles representing our company to customers.

  • Proven Training Skills
  • Basic Knowledge of commercial and residential building technology
  • Knowledge of the Insulation markets and good negotiating skills
  • Good time and territorial management skills
  • Good leadership, communication, and demonstration skills
  • Computer Literacy
  • Good organizational and analytical skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (presentations) and attention to detail
  • Experienced and skilled proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Construction and Specifications knowledge is a plus
