The Opportunity
We're looking for a detail-oriented, analytically driven Sales, Pricing & Promotions Analyst to join our Purchasing team. This role will report to the Category Management & Purchasing Director, and play a critical part in driving efficiencies, optimizing pricing and promotional strategies, and supporting profitable growth into the future.
What You'll Do
Analyze sales performance across categories and brands, building and maintaining dashboards and reporting models that track key KPIs and margin targets. to identify growth opportunities and performance gaps.
Translate data into compelling fact-based selling stores, highlighting growth opportunities and performance gaps.
Support planning, budgeting, and forecasting with actionable insights.
Drive pricing optimization by assessing market position, competitor activity, and MAP/brand guidelines; maintain omni-channel pricing strategies for retail, promotional, event, and industrial channels.
Identify and implement opportunities to enhance gross margin through pricing and cost optimization.
Partner with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align pricing and promotional strategies with business goals.
Evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of promotional campaigns (flyers, events, online, in-store), providing actionable post-analysis recommendations.
Provide category, brand, and customer activity analysis, including flyer activity, shelf space, and market share
Enhance reporting automation, ensure data accuracy, and continuously improve analytics processes.
Present insights and recommendations to leadership, supporting strategic decision-making and profitable growth.
What You Bring
Post-Secondary education in Business or Marketing
3-5 years experience in pricing analytics, category management, sales forecasting/analysis
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect analytics to commercial outcomes.
Advanced analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
Experience with reporting, KPI tracking, and category management tools.
Solid knowledge of advanced Excel, BI tools, and Netsuite
Strong communication skills with the ability to build fact-based, persuasive presentations.
