The Role:



We are looking for a highly motivated

Sales & Operations Coordinator

to join our small but growing team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting both the

sales

(B2B and B2C) and

logistics/operations

functions of Hillsound Equipment.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about the outdoor industry, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities across sales coordination, customer service, order processing, and operational logistics.

Key Responsibilities (Sales):



Acquire general knowledge of Hillsound Equipment products & technologies to effectively field customer inquiries. Maintain strong relationships with existing business buyers and partners. Continuously seek out and identify new potential buyers to expand our customer base. Conduct competitive research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities. Respond to customer email inquiries including, technical questions and dealer locator. Effectively assess customer needs related to products, orders, payments, logistics, etc., and proactively manage using a positive, helpful approach. Processing of warranties for B2C and B2B channels. Be responsible for tasks within the sales team in a range of tasks, including data entry. Other duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities (Operations):



Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating logistics for tradeshows, events, and shipments. Prepare freight and customs documentation (e.g., packing slips, BOLs, commercial invoices). Monitor and communicate with third-party logistics (3PL) partners in Canada and the US to ensure smooth shipment flows. Support demand forecasting and inventory planning efforts each season. Help manage EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems and ensure order accuracy. Stay informed about domestic and international shipping procedures and customs regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:



Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or office-based role Experience in sales coordination or operational/logistics support (experience in the outdoor industry is a strong asset) Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills (in person, via email, and over the phone) Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and general computer literacy (Microsoft Office/Google Workspace) Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude and a collaborative mindset Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to doing what's right for both the customer and the company Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team environment Post-secondary education preferred A genuine passion for the outdoors -- we'd love to work with someone who actively hikes, camps, or explores nature on a regular basis, and naturally understands the needs of outdoor users.

Assets (Nice to Have):



Familiarity with EDI systems or working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers Background in B2B sales or wholesale account management Understanding of seasonal demand planning or inventory forecasting Previous experience working with eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, etc) A background in or formal study of business, supply chain, marketing, or a related field Active participation in outdoor activities (e.g. hiking, backpacking, trail running, camping) and a personal connection to outdoor gear
