Job Description

Kelly Services has partnered with a well-established pharmaceutical company who is looking to hire a Sales Manager for a permanent position. This organization specializes in the design and blending of seasonings for meat, poultry and general food industries

This position will be completed in a hybrid model with their offices located in the Oakville. The successful candidate will report into the Director of Sales and be responsible for maintaining strong business relationships with customers and hunt of internal and external business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess great communication skills, prior sales experience and strong business acumen.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for all sales activities in the designated territory
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients
  • Establish a strong pipeline to support the organization growth
  • Plan and direct activities with potential and current clients
  • Visit clients regularly
  • Provide clients with the necessary technical support
  • Prepare and maintain sales contracts
  • Implement sales strategies and suggested tools
  • Prepare sales budget for designated territory
  • Participate in product supplier seminars and attend demonstrations when needed
  • Preform after-sales follow up
  • Prepare monthly reports with highlights from the month, opportunity checklists, call reports etc.
  • Research and stay informed of market, industry and customer news and updates
  • Manage personal expense reports
  • Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A minimum of 5-10 years experience in a Sales or other related position with preference being from the consumer goods industry
  • Completion of post secondary education in a Food Science or another related program
  • Bilingual, French & English, will be considered an asset
  • Proficient with MS Office suites
  • Capacity to adapt to different teams and manage priorities from multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage everchanging deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
