Position Summary:

Leads a growth-oriented Sales team and ensures effective sales coverage in all product lines to drive sales and result in annual growth, meeting or exceeding plan.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes sales strategies, in alignment with company expectations, and ensures successful execution
  • Manages Area sales program by assigning sales coverage areas, quotas, and goals. Partners with Manager, Area Sales regarding sales coverage to ensure existing and new customers receive a consistent, positive partnership and messaging from Lifetouch
  • Utilizes sales metrics/statistics to evaluate performance against Area sales goals (e.g., new business, retention). Shares results and updates (e.g., sales charts, reports) to drive performance and give recognition as well as identify opportunities (e.g., rebooking) to strengthen area sales
  • Partners with leaders (e.g., Manager, Area Photography & Operations, Manager, Operations, Manager, Photography) to ensure the Area is aligned in all company processes and procedures with effective use of resources, identifying opportunities to strengthen area performance, and executing improvement initiatives
  • Manages and is accountable for the sales portion of the budget
  • Coordinates and conducts Sales staff meetings regularly to provide Area updates, engage employees, introduce new Sales, Photography, and/or Operations initiatives, provide product and Marketing program updates, discuss sales techniques, discuss performance against metrics (wins and opportunities), etc
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, manages, and trains employees, in accordance with company guidelines and processes, to build and maintain a high performing team
  • Communicates and ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as addresses non-compliance in a timely and professional manner
  • Manages and leads a team (2 or more full-time equivalents), including providing day-to-day work direction, conducting ride-along on a frequent basis, sharing performance feedback, giving recognition and communicating effectively
  • Monitors and evaluates individual and team performance
  • Employs techniques to build teamwork in support of business needs to drive results
  • Drives performance to deliver results in accordance with the strategic plan by developing and supervising sales contests to achieve Company goals
  • Ensures alignment with and participation in all eligible company programs, including active participation in Company-sponsored sales blitzes, contests and initiatives
  • Perform other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned
Minimum General Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 - 7 years of sales or sales management experience
  • 3 - 5 years managing and leading direct reports
  • Manage sales within a $15 million sales volume organization
  • Ability to manage a budget and apply financial acumen.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as using the Google platform
  • Demonstrated ability to set and execute operational plans
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail oriented in the execution and follow-up of work
  • Ability to manage, prioritize as well as balance and execute against multiple projects/priorities simultaneously, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively manage and lead change
  • Full use of dependable, insured automobile. Vehicle insurance must be current and in compliance with provincial law
  • Ability to travel (up to 20%)
