You will be required to: \xc2\xb7 Establish department objectives and pursue them through planning, controlling, and measuring performance \xc2\xb7 Managing all aspects of the new vehicle department including: maximizing profit and minimizing expenses; purchase used vehicles at reasonable prices; and inform salespeople of all new inventory. \xc2\xb7 Work with General Manager in forecasting controllable expense items for the New Vehicle Department. \xc2\xb7 Keep Showroom image up to acceptable standards. \xc2\xb7 Responsible for sales operations costs, including remuneration plans for staff \xc2\xb7 Desk deals with sales consultants \xc2\xb7 Drive staff motivation, performance, and productivity \xc2\xb7 Meet short and long term sales targets \xc2\xb7 Provide excellent customer service \xc2\xb7 Maintain customer retention by following up with customers by mail and/or telephone throughout the life of the vehicle. \xc2\xb7 Prepare sales reports for senior directors of the dealerships \xc2\xb7 Monitor efforts of new vehicle salespeople to improve image and customer satisfaction ratings of dealership. \xc2\xb7 Direct sales people in setting their objectives on a short and long range basis \xc2\xb7 Hire, educate, motivate, guide and evaluate performance of new vehicle sales staff \xc2\xb7 Comply with required health and safety regulations \xc2\xb7 Performs other duties as required Qualifications/Requirements: \xc2\xb7 Minimum 5 years automotive sales experience, new car sales an asset \xc2\xb7 Experience leading a small team of salespeople \xc2\xb7 Solid sales and administration background \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of marketing and finance \xc2\xb7 Proven ability to work in a fast paced, high volume capacity \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of Dealership DMS systems an asset \xc2\xb7 Positive attitude as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to multitask and excellent organizational skills \xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and ensure quality and quantity of work meets expectations McManes Automotive is an equal opportunity employer and an inclusive, accessible workplace.
