Five Star Building Services is hiring a Sales Manager!
The Sales Manager will develop the Sales team and work with key business executives and stakeholders to achieve sales targets and create exceptional customer service experiences. The Sales Manager will lead the activities to achieve the overall Sales department goals and objectives which support the short- and long-term success of Five Star. This individual generates sales and revenue while managing several Account Managers and liaises between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of Five Star products/services. The Sales Manager will exceed all expectations by cultivating collaborative internal and external customer relationships.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Leadership
• Executes Five Star's sales initiatives by leading and guiding direct reports.
• Directs and coordinates the sales/ account management work priorities.
• Works with sales/ account management team to generate new leads to reach personal, team, and Company sales targets.
• Oversees and creates quotes for potential new contracts within prescribed time period of a qualified walk-through.
• Works with the Sales team to successfully negotiate and close quotes.
• Assists other team members with company projects, events and activities as needed.
• Manages CRM systems and other internal tracking systems to ensure details, notes, and documents are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
• Tracks, monitors, and reports on key sales metrics such as routine and quarterly sales data.
• Identifies potential business deals by contacting prospects and clients to explore opportunities.
• Plans and leads sales meetings to communicate and align sales objectives, team members, and achieve business goals.
• Ensures the Sales department has continuity in the event of talent/ resource gap within the team.
Client Relationship Management
• Serves as the lead point of contact for high value customer account management matters by handling customer concerns, developing feedback loop and resolving complaints.
• Supervises annual renewal process for all Company contracts and oversees customer retention program.
• Enhances Five Star's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing different requests in new and innovative ways.
Operational Excellence
• Ensures timely and successful delivery of services according to customer needs and contracted agreements.
• Addresses clients' concerns to operations team.
• Collaborates with Operations team to ensure new business/contracts have sufficient resources and information for contract delivery.
• Handles all aspects of pre-engagement activity and the transition of new business to the Operations team; and updates Company account management roster.
• Works with Operations team to onboard and integrate new clients; and develops existing client relationships.
• Communicates the progress of ongoing initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborates with Five Star team to explore opportunities to add value to existing customers/contracts.
• Ensures all accounts in all divisions and projects are actively managed.
• Meets clients and subcontractors for site visits as required.
• Ensures Sales team executes practical account management strategies based on -building long term relationships

Business Development
• Leads and supports sales and marketing (print, social, and media) campaigns to reach target markets/groups and drive sales.
• Stays abreast of competitor activity and creates appropriate strategies in response.
• Works with the sales team to create advertising, web, and sales content and collateral.
• Plans, organizes, and coordinates conferences, events, seminars, workshops, and other business development activities.
• Participates in networking groups, industry activities and business events to promote the Five Star brand.
Quality Control
• Assesses and monitors the Sales Department's performance based on its weaknesses and strengths.
• Increases market penetration and market share.
• Routinely reviews pricing strategies and addresses low margin services.
• Ensures timely and appropriate information on major activities and changes, significant opportunities, and threats.
• Prepares regular (monthly, quarterly, and yearly) written reports for the President/General Manager on key metrics and accounts.
• Assists with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
• Monitors and implements continuous improvement in services and business processes.
• Identifies customer service trends, determines system improvements, and implements appropriate changes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Proven experience as a Senior Account Manager/Sales Manager, or similar role
• Proven experience with achieving and exceeding Company sales targets
• Significant experience managing a group of Account Managers or Sales Representatives
• Post-secondary studies in Business Administration, Sales/Marketing or related field an asset
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
• Experience delivering client-focused solutions to exceed customer expectations
• Financial forecasting/budgeting experience as a department head
• Strong proficiency in Office software, CRM systems or computer sales systems

• Ability to generate new and untapped business opportunities and to close sales
• Keen ability to think on their feet, take necessary action(s), and communicate effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills including solid business writing ability
• Effectively generates sales opportunities through different creative methods

• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining sharp attention to detail
• Highly approachable personality with excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
