Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Area President of Atlantic Canada, the Sales Manager is responsible for providing sales leadership to help exceed growth objectives by leading and supporting a group of Producers. The Sales Managers\xe2\x80\x99 role will be heavily focused on providing motivation, accountability, training, hands-on coaching, and sales culture development while maintaining a supporting focus on innovation, strategy, insurer relations & placement, cross-selling, and recruiting. Using the software available at Gallagher for monitoring, planning, and strategy execution.


Location! New Brunswick or Nova Scotia. We have several regional offices, preferably in Dieppe/Moncton or Halifax. Work Environment Hybrid (Agile) \xe2\x80\x93 We at Gallagher enjoy the benefits of working remotely while also collaborating and interacting with each other in the office.


How You Will Influence the Business

  • Work closely with the Area President and Operations leaders to drive new business growth and maximize retention with existing clients.
  • Lead the hiring, mentoring, motivating, and development of sales staff to ensure alignment with goals and objectives in Atlantic Canada.
  • Create a positive work environment, and promote opportunities for personal growth and career development.
  • Working with Producers to establish an annual sales plan with strong growth goals that will act as baseline for accountability and development.
  • Overseeing sales activities and monitoring progress within Salesforce. \xc2\xb7Coordinating with marketing on lead generation campaigns.
  • Ongoing coordination of sales, technical, specialization, and soft skills training. \xc2\xb7Promoting the organization and various divisions.
  • Identify and develop succession plans within the Region with key stakeholders, and participate in networking events inside and outside Gallagher.
  • Working closely with the National Sales Team to ensure delivery of Sales and Tools training.
  • Working closely with National Sales to ensure we deliver exceptional experiences to clients and prospects by leveraging tools and resources and communicating through Gallagher\xe2\x80\x99s proprietary tools and resources.
  • Working collaboratively with Operations leaders, identify opportunities to improve retention and increase revenue through upsell opportunities on the existing book.
  • Lead development and execution of sales and marketing plans to support continuous top-line and bottom-line growth and brand awareness.
  • Ensure staff is utilizing the Gallagher\xe2\x80\x99s proprietary tools and resources.
Qualifications:
Key Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of previous sales leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years previous talent management experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals and initiatives and deliver desired results.
  • University degree \xc2\xb7Proven experience with developing a book of business.
  • Demonstrated and proven results in employee development.
  • Strong analysis and decision making ability.
  • Highly organized and strong time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change and building strategic relations.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Well-versed in computer and software skills.

Nice to Have
  • 7 years of commercial lines experience \xe2\x80\x93 brokerage experience as an asset.
  • CIP/FCIP/CRM an asset.
  • Nova Scotia or New Brunswick license.
