TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is partnered with an industry leading manufacturer of industrial air filtration products and are searching for their new Solution Sales Territory Manager for Atlantic Canada. The existing rep in the area is retiring, so this individual will be taking over an established and healthy territory.
The Solution Sales Territory Manager is responsible for selling technical products and services in the area. The incumbent will develop opportunities with customers and distributors to achieve corporate sales targets. Atlantic Canada; New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island & Newfoundland & Labrador.

While the incumbent will be expected to develop net new client relationships, account management is a strong focus of the position. This individual will be working out of a home office, and will need to be based in Nova Scotia, or New Brunswick.

NATURE OF POSITION:

The Solution Sales Territory Manager collaborates with district sales managers, engineers, the technical solutions team and installation teams to present, quote, sell, specify and install products based upon engineered solutions. They will be managing the established dealer network in the territory, and selling directly to owners.

This position is key to providing detailed, proactive information from a technical solutions standpoint to the customer so that the processes involved create the best possible solution for the customer. The role demands professional interaction with Field Representatives, Field Service Technicians and Customers to ensure the information relating to each request/project is communicated effectively to each process owner and understood so that the steps involved in planning are followed and the commitments to each process are based upon sound information. One of the keys to success in this role is that the incumbent is keenly analytical and possesses the ability to future plan for sales and installations. This position demands clear communication and deep understanding of how to work through the management chain so that the flow of information is concise, current and accurate on a daily basis. Must be able to travel in Atlantic Canada 50% of the time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dealer Sales Duties

  • Become adept at using sales support resources, train partners on all tools and programs, and assure they are actively using them
  • Maintain fair and appropriate discount levels for resellers based on program criteria. Be in tune with competitive offerings and market pricing to assure accurate quoting
  • Produce monthly sales forecasts, then plan and execute to achieve target sales.
  • Train and consult with dealers to drive expected annual sales growth.
  • Drive market share increases annually and attain new channel partners per assigned goals
  • Assess the territory distribution base and determine where we have and need coverage leading to replacing and/or re-engaging existing, and aggressively adding new dealers.
  • Hold dealers accountable to engage with products and programs to exceed all dealer program expectations. maximizing our share of wallet, and to meet the expectations that accompany being a dealer
  • Help dealers develop an annual Business Plan outlining how they are going to market to drive sales to achieve specific measurable business objectives.
Tendered Project Sales Duties
  • Sell conceptual, design-build or general tender work.
  • Prepare materials, labour and equipment cost estimations necessary to successfully carry out a project according to proposals, plans, estimates and specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain a list of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors, engineers and architects
  • Communicate specified proposal procedures
  • Present estimates and conduct review meetings with clients. Communicate particulars with field reps regarding this, if applicable.
  • Participate and coordinate company risk and opportunity evaluation with field reps.
Administrative Duties
  • Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc
  • Effectively determine the bid strategies required for the company to be successful.
  • Assist corporate and project management teams to determine what types of projects to bid on.
  • Provide technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc. as required.
  • May assist in the preparation of studies, materials and methods, recommendations, and cost estimates as required.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintains high company profile through active participation in industry association and trade shows.
  • Promote goodwill by supporting marketing initiatives to create more awareness and presence in the industry.
  • Maintain up to date records within CRM regarding all sales activities.
  • Prepare and present technical presentations on products and services.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Due to the nature of the position, overtime may be required, as needed. Travel 50 %. Motivated self starter who is also an excellent collaborator. Attention to detail and having the ability to manage your time is critical. excellent organizational and record keeping skills are critical.

REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical sales role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, able to read drawings
  • University degree preferred
  • Proven experience in organizing sales calls and schedules
  • Track record in developing sales opportunities
  • Extensive knowledge of computer applications including spreadsheets and word processing
  • Project management exposure
  • Valid Drivers License with insurable status
  • Valid Passport
