As a result of continued growth, PermaCorp has an opportunity for a Sales Executive to join our team. We will consider applicants based throughout Canada, however have a preference for candidates based near our Head Office in Edmonton, Alberta.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Executive will be responsible for contracts across Canada, with potential to expand into the US. The successful candidate will predominantly be working on generating sales leads, developing relationships with key stakeholders, as well as bidding on projects. The role involves working with clients conceptualizing, planning, and preparing estimations and creative design proposals for presentation. In addition, you will work with the executive team in finding new opportunities that align with the corporate strategy, identify sales leads, and maintain relationships with current and new contacts.
The ideal candidate is innovative, creative and a team player who can lead by example in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and has strong technical knowledge. You must be detail oriented and can confidently support production, installation, and client inquiries as needed. The selected candidate will work closely with the Engineering, Estimating and Sales departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Generating sales leads
Prepare pricing estimates for projects and submit written proposals to clients
Pre-qualify potential clients with appropriate questions to establish budget, timelines, and compatibility, prepare quotations and site installation meetings as required
Manage clients' expectations by informing them of company processes, policies, and timelines
Update clients of business changes such as product offering, pricing, or assembly options
Use CRM to track Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts along with timelines
Participate in various departmental and interdepartmental meetings and trainings as required
Attend industry shows, conferences, events, etc. as required
Other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Must have 5+ years of experience in the construction/building materials industry,
Strong business and sales acumen, including excellent business communication skills in English, both written and oral
An understanding of the metals industry a strong asset, including powder coating and aluminum extrusions
High-energy, detail-oriented, results-driven, self-motivated individual
Excellent planning, coordination, and scheduling skills
Reliability, integrity, passion and in-person presentation skills with a strong ability to establish relationships and close deals
Exceptional, industry leading, customer service skills with a proven strength in exceeding client expectations and an ability to identify best product and fit for client needs
A valid driver's license and vehicle is required
Must be flexible with work hours
