Job Summary

Altech Aluminum manufactures and installs aluminum and glass guard rail and miscellaneous metal work in the building trade.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately assessing project costs and preparing detailed estimates. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in construction estimating software, and the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. Utilize AutoCAD and drafting experience for reviewing drawings. Collaborate with project managers to ensure that all aspects of the project are considered in the estimate. Conduct negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and terms for materials and services. Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference. Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to estimates. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and responding to inquiries from potential clients.

Requirements

Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for projects. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills with the help of AutoCAD and drafting experience to ensure accuracy in estimates.
