Overview


We are a busy specialty pharmacy looking for a professional and motivated Pharmaceutical Sales - Patient Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be in direct contact with patients regarding their prescriptions, guiding them through the process to ensure their medication is accurately billed, prepared, and shipped directly to their home.

Duties



Proactively

contact patients

by phone, text, and/or email regarding their prescriptions. Clearly explain prescription details, product benefits, and next steps to the patient in an easy-to-understand and professional manner. Demographic and contact details Shipping address Insurance information and coverage Payment details when needed

Bill prescriptions to patient insurance

when applicable, and communicate any co-pay or out-of-pocket costs to the patient. Facilitate secure payment when insurance is not available or does not fully cover the prescription. Ensure all required information is documented accurately in the pharmacy system to enable smooth processing and timely home delivery. Provide excellent

customer service

, addressing patient questions, concerns, and objections with professionalism and empathy. Use

sales skills

to confidently guide patients toward completing their order, emphasizing value, convenience, and clinical benefit (as appropriate and in line with pharmacy policies). Follow up with patients who have pending prescriptions or incomplete information to move the transaction forward. Meet and exceed individual and team

KPIs/targets

related to contact rate, conversion rate, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate closely with pharmacy staff, technicians, and management to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications



Minimum 2 years of professional sales experience

(inside sales, telesales, or similar environment preferred). Proven track record of

meeting or exceeding sales targets

while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Strong

customer service skills

and a genuinely patient-focused mindset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident, clear, and

eloquent

on the phone. Comfortable discussing pricing, insurance coverage, and payment options in a professional and reassuring manner. High level of attention to detail and accuracy when handling patient and billing information. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple patient interactions and follow-ups simultaneously. Proficiency with computers and basic CRM or pharmacy software systems (training will be provided). Availability to work

Monday to Friday

with

one weekend every three weeks

Assets (Nice to Have)



Experience in

pharmacy, healthcare, or medical office

settings. Experience with

insurance billing

or third-party payers. Multilingual abilities are an asset.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$25.10 per hour
