Duties

Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments. Assist with merchandising by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are well-presented to attract shoppers. Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves regularly and notifying supervisors of low stock or discrepancies. Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing support remotely. Support supervisory staff by supervising team members during shifts when needed, ensuring smooth store operations. Apply retail math skills for daily cash reconciliation and sales reporting. Engage in basic math calculations for pricing, discounts, and promotions. Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, enhancing their shopping experience. Promote upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while respecting customer preferences.

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or grocery stores is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures ensures smooth transaction processing. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Excellent communication skills--both verbal and written--are necessary for engaging with customers and team members alike. Demonstrated supervising experience is a plus, indicating leadership potential within the team. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette are crucial for building lasting relationships.
