Outdoor Sales Representative

to meet homeowners at their doors, introduce our services, and help keep our project schedule full.

What You'll Be Doing Day to Day

In this position, you are the first point of contact between our company and potential clients in the neighbourhoods we serve.

You'll be responsible for:

Walking assigned streets and neighbourhoods (often where we've already completed projects) to introduce our services to local homeowners Starting friendly conversations at the door, explaining what we offer, and identifying whether there's interest or upcoming projects Using our internal software or apps to record homeowner details, track conversations, and keep lead information up to date Booking estimate appointments on the spot for interested homeowners while you're still at the door Responding to typical questions about pricing, timelines, and the work process, and handling basic objections in a calm, professional way Handing out printed materials such as postcards or door hangers to reinforce our brand and encourage follow-up Working toward personal targets for new leads and appointments booked, while contributing to broader team goals Joining brief virtual meetings every two weeks to review results, go over metrics, and set new objectives Seeking feedback from your manager and taking advantage of training opportunities to refine your sales and communication skills
You'll Be a Strong Candidate If You:

Are confident talking to new people and can quickly build rapport at the door Have experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, fundraising, or any role where you interact with people regularly Like being outdoors and prefer active work over sitting at a desk Can work independently, stay on task, and manage your own time in the field Are organized, punctual, and able to follow a defined route or territory plan Pay close attention to details and follow instructions carefully--including fully reading job postings and application steps
