Sales Associate - Temporary (with potential for Part-Time)

Albern Coins & Foreign Exchange is seeking a

Temporary Sales Associate

to join our team, with the possibility of transitioning into a part-time position. This role focuses on assisting customers at our main service window with foreign exchange and bullion transactions. We also purchase collectibles and jewelry, but that is a secondary aspect of the position.

We are looking for someone who learns quickly, remains composed in a fast-paced environment, and provides excellent customer service.

Hours:

Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Alternating Saturdays: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

Assist customers with foreign exchange and bullion transactions Accurately handle cash, debit, and credit transactions Provide information and guidance on products and services Develop and maintain knowledge of evolving market trends Support sales and purchases of precious metals, collectibles, and jewelry Address customer concerns professionally Maintain accurate customer records

Qualifications:

Previous experience in sales or customer service Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentages) Professional demeanor and ability to stay composed in a fast-paced setting Attention to detail and multitasking ability Intermediate computer skills

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly

Assets (Preferred, not required):

Experience with foreign exchange or bullion transactions Knowledge of precious metals and trading Understanding of numismatics and collectibles
