Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment within our manufacturing facility. This position involves developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and training initiatives to promote workplace safety and compliance with regulations. The Safety Coordinator will collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Duties

Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to the manufacturing environment. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Provide training sessions for employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and equipment handling. Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance reports. Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization. Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and trends related to workplace safety.

Requirements

Proven experience in a safety role within a manufacturing setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards applicable to manufacturing environments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train and educate employees at all levels. Strong analytical skills for identifying hazards and developing effective solutions. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Training & development experience is a plus, as well as familiarity with safety management systems. Relevant certifications in occupational health and safety (e.g., OSHA 30-hour) are advantageous. Join us in making our workplace safer for everyone!
