We are seeking a dedicated Safety and Human Resources administrator to join our team and ensure our employees thrive while upholding the highest safety standards.
Safety Responsibilities
Safety Program Management
: Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures to comply with OH&S regulations.
Incident Investigation
: Investigate workplace accidents or incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
Safety Training
: Conduct regular safety training sessions for employees, including topics like hazard recognition, PPE usage, and emergency response.
Risk Assessment
: Perform regular workplace assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Reporting
: Maintain safety logs, prepare reports for regulatory agencies, and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
HR Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding
: Manage job postings, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and coordinate onboarding for new hires.
Employee Relations
: Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive workplace culture
Benefits and Payroll
: Administer employee benefits programs and processing the full payroll cycle.
Record Keeping
: Maintain accurate employee records, including performance reviews, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
Requirements
Passion for HR and safety
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
Experience with employment relations
Ability to thrive across multiple locations
Experience with payroll/benefits administration
Understanding of Alberta Employment Standards, OHS Code, and WCB processes
Must be organized, coachable, and a strong communicator.
