WE ARE HIRING and looking for an experienced and committed Safety and Complicance Lead to join our growing team TODAY!! The Role: The position will be based in Abbotsford, BC. Reporting to the Director of Safety, Compliance and Maintenance. The Safety and Complicance Lead will be responsible for the excecution of our safety polices and procedures. Ensuring compliance with state/provincial and federal regulations are followed. Being responsible for the overall transport management of drivers and owner operators Scope: (HOS) Hours of service regulations, DOT regulations and E-Log experience required Responsible for managing CVOR Events and Compliance Monitoring, including driver Hours of Service (HOS) from ELD Report and schedule follow-up with drivers on any violations, tickets, accidents, injuries, claims and other incidents Ensure all employes work in accordance with corporate safety policies and procedures Conduct ride a long (evaluations) with drivers Facilitates incident investigations, root cause analysis for sites and provides steps for corrective action Ensure all vehicles are maintained in compliance with vehicle inspection and maintenance regulations and company expectations: conduct regular audits and physical inspections to ensure same Maintain driver safety files and training records Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventative measures when indicated and follows up Ensures that driver road tests are conducted when required as well as spot pre and post trip inspection are completed properly What You Bring Minimum 3 years transportation experience required 3 years safety and compliance experience required Valid class 1 license is considered an asset Strong observational and analytical skills Knowledge of Hours of service and DOT regulations necessary We are an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity in the workplace and welcome applications from qualified women, men, visible minorities, aboriginal people and persons with disabilities.
