About you
We are looking for a motivated, technically sound OHS practitioner who is enthusiastic, coachable, and client-centric. You must be comfortable working independently, have excellent organizational skills and be able to manage multiple time-sensitive projects concurrently. You possess strong administrative skills and enjoy building relationships with multiple stakeholders. Your emotional intelligence should match, if not exceed, your technical knowledge. You must have a solid work ethic, positive attitude, great administrative skill set with an attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.

About the opportunity
Supporting client personnel to implement and monitor contractor safety management systems
Facilitating contract owner, contractor and tenant orientations
Conducting regular monitoring/inspections and job observations at client work sites to assess compliance and performance and effectively summarizing findings within reports and correspondence
Auditing client safety management systems
Liaising with multiple stakeholders to identify and communicate project and activity risk and mitigation strategies
Writing and formatting reports, letters, memos and correspondence
Conducting/supporting incident investigation
Facilitating monthly safety meetings and discussions
An undergraduate degree and at least a certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
A working knowledge of the B.C. Workers Compensation Act, Regulation, and Guidelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent English language skills, both speaking and writing.
Given the nature of the role, the ability to climb ladders, access heights, walk long distances, work outdoors in all seasons and work in tight spaces (utility corridors, mechanical rooms, etc.) is required.
Experience in Construction Industry
Successful completion of a Federal Security Application and Criminal Record check.
A valid BC driver?s license; no vehicle required.
