Title: S/4HANA Finance Lead
Location: Remote/On-site Duration: 4 Months
Introduction
The role is pivotal in driving the end-to-end Finance workstream within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA Transformation program. This leadership position focuses on ensuring design integrity, process standardization, and successful adoption of a new financial landscape.
Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10 years of SAP Finance and Controlling experience, including at least two full-cycle S/4HANA implementations (one Greenfield preferred).
• Deep understanding of core Finance and Controlling processes (GL, AP, AR, FA, AA, CO, Group Reporting).
• Strong experience in process design, system configuration, and integration across end-to-end Finance flows.
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders across business and IT functions.
• Experience working within large transformation programs and Agile delivery environments.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as SAP Certified Application Professional - Financials in SAP S/4HANA or CPA/CA/CMA.
• Experience with Central Finance, SAP BTP, or Group Reporting (Consolidation).
• Background in change management, testing strategy, and deployment planning.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling modules.
• Define and govern the Finance Target Operating Model aligned with business goals and enterprise architecture.
• Collaborate closely with Finance stakeholders, Solution Architects, and Integration teams to drive end-to-end process harmonization.
• Oversee core Finance and Controlling (FICO) processes -- General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Asset Accounting (AA), Controlling (CO), and Group Reporting.
• Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, regulatory standards, and reporting requirements.
• Support the development of functional specifications, testing scenarios, and cutover planning.
• Drive key decisions in design governance forums to ensure alignment across modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PS, etc.).
• Lead workshops and stakeholder sessions to validate requirements and design deliverables.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to Finance team members and ensure effective knowledge transfer.
• Oversee post-go-live stabilization and continuous improvement of S/4HANA Finance solutions.
