Job Description


This is a contract position for a Test Lead - Senior for our public sector client.
Work location: Downtown Toronto
Duration: Eight Months
7.25 hours/day
This is a Hybrid role that requires the candidate to be onsite 3 days of the week (This is a mandatory
requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)Advantages

-Lead the design of test strategy, plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures for testing
-Execute the test cases against various components
-Create entry, exit and acceptance test criteria
-Document and report test findings to Project Manager and other stakeholders in a clear and concise mannerQualifications
-5+ years of experience in process, planning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts.
-Experience with manual testing
-Experience in working with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software.
-Knowledge of the systems development cycle (SDLC) with knowledge of application testing methodologies, techniques, and methods
-Analysis and design methodology, techniques; structured testing
-Analysis of business requirements and functional designs
-Knowledge of Risk and evidence-based testing
-Analysis of business rules
-Creation of the test cases, traceability matrix
-Defining the expected results
-Creation of test data, test user accounts
-Creation of database queries to select test data and ensure database integrity.
-Experience in entry, exit and acceptance testing criteria.
-Experience writing and reviewing a test strategy for the project.
-Experience planning the tests - considering the context and understanding the test objectives and risk - including selecting test approaches, estimating the time, effort and cost of testing, acquiring resources, defining test levels, cycles and planning incident management
-Experience initiating the specification, preparation, implementation and execution of tests, monitor the test results and check the exit criteria
-Previous Public Sector experience is an asset.Summary
