REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE (25-0000236)

Bargaining Unit: OPSEU Para

Status: Full Time TEMPORARY

Department: Medium Support Housing

Shifts: Days including weekends

Rate of Pay: $34.86 - $35.30

per hour

Qualifications:

Currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario Scope of Practice must include physical assessment and pharmacology Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid Certificates Experience working with people with a serious mental illness and an intellectual disability and/or concurrent addiction issues Extensive knowledge, skills and experience in community assessment, psychosocial rehabilitation and treatment, crisis management and recovery Mental health experience required. Knowledge of psychiatric illnesses/diagnosis, treatment, PSR/recovery Candidates with past community experience an asset Level 1 Food Safety Course Excellent skills in reasoning, problem-solving, decision making and workload organization Excellent communication (verbal, non-verbal, written) and interpersonal skills Class G Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with adequate insurance Demonstrated regular attendance at work and adherence to SJCG Principles of Conduct

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
