Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. We are a family practice of 6 doctors. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient environments. The RPN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, nursing practices, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Triaging patients Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options. Assist in various medical procedures, including PAP tests, suturing, IUD placement and excisions Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients through effective infection control practices.

Qualifications

Valid Registered Practical Nurse license. Experience with EHR/EMR systems; familiarity with PS SUITE is a plus. Strong clinical skills in family practice. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and procedures relevant to patient care. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced certifications (ACLS/PALS) preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams. Ability to perform triage assessments and prioritize patient needs effectively.
