We are seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality healthcare services at our family practice located in Canada. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting patient care and enhancing the overall health of our patients.

Responsibilities



We are a busy and patient-focused family practice in Mississauga seeking a dedicated

Medical Office Assistant (MOA) / Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)

to join our team. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth patient care and efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities



Greet and register patients, verify OHIP and insurance, and manage appointment scheduling. Perform patient intake including vital signs, medical history, and medication reconciliation. Document and update information accurately in the EMR system (PS Suite ). Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as within RPN scope. Assist physicians with minor procedures such as Pap tests, wound care, biopsies, and IUD insertions. Conduct clinical procedures including urine dips, ear flushes, and point-of-care testing. Provide patient education on health promotion, chronic disease management, and preventative care. Process private billing claims, manage prescription renewals, and coordinate referrals. Maintain infection prevention and control practices in both clinical and office areas. Order and manage vaccines, medications, and office/medical supplies while ensuring cold chain compliance. Ensure smooth patient flow and deliver a welcoming, professional, and patient-centered experience.

Qualifications



Current Certificate of Registration with the

College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

(RPN). Completion of a

Medical Office Assistant (MOA) diploma/certificate

or equivalent office experience. Previous experience in a family medicine or primary care setting is an asset. Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with PHIPA standards. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice.

Qualifications

Valid registration as a Practical Nurse in Ontario. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Compassionate approach to patient care. Previous experience in a family practice setting is an asset.
