Canadian Natural\xe2\x80\x99s Conventional Royalty team is seeking a candidate with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills that enjoys working within a team environment. This role is primarily responsible for the monthly Royalties payable account analysis, reconciliation, and payment process. As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to develop critical thinking, project management and teamwork skills through meaningful projects.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyze, manage and reconcile royalty payables accounts
  • Respond to queries on a timely basis
  • Work with cross functional groups such as Production Accounting, Commercial Operations, Joint Venture Accounting and Legal
  • Assist with various monthly/yearly reporting requirements
  • Analyze royalty variances, cheque payment process and reconciliations
  • Identify and recommend process improvements
  • Complete other projects as assigned

  • Job location: Calgary, Alberta
  • Shift schedule: 5x2 \xe2\x80\x93 Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day

Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of related accounting and/or industry experience
  • Completed Accounting or Business Degree, and/or Production Accounting background
  • Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and communication skills. Ability to meet key deliverable deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated intermediate Excel skills
