Worker Type: EmployeeGroup: Conventional Heavy Oil Production Revenue Accounting DepartmentJob Post End Date: 04/02/2024About this opportunity:In the Production Accounting team, the Property Analyst will ensure accurate completion of a full cycle of the production accounting desk. This role will analyze production, revenue, royalties, and reconciling items to the general ledger (including operating agreements and marketing contracts to ensure the accurate handling of allocations and equalizations).What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:Manage operated/non-operated oil & gas properties \xe2\x80\x93 Thermals, NonOp, Heavy Oil, Conventional, Cleaning Plant and Terminal, Gas Plants, Batteries, Injection & Gas Gathering SystemsCompile, balance and analyze field reports.Maintain property files.Maintain production accounting system and property specific master file data.Input and process monthly volumetric dataConfirm third party volumetric data (fluid receipts and dispositions)Provide \'volumes available\' to working interest owners, third parties.Analyze processed data prior to publishing.Royalty calculations \xe2\x80\x93 GOR and FreeholdPrepare and publish oil and gas pipeline splits based on information provided working interest owners, third parties.Generate and submit provincial government regulatory reports (Alberta and Saskatchewan)Generate crown royalty.Input revenue into production accounting systemPre-balance receivables (purchasers) for current monthMonthly reconciliation of oil crown royalties and ARRespond to internal & external queries of a normal business nature.Manage prior period adjustments/amendments.Prepare and upload revenue and royalties to financial accounting system.Who you areMust be legally entitled to work in Canada.3-9 years of experience in full cycle production accounting.Preference for general experience in Alberta, Saskatchewan-based properties.Solid knowledge of allocations, measurement, audit, and processesStrong analytical skills.Excellent Excel skills, data management and reporting capabilities.Team player with ability to work independently.Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) with the ability to communicate with Finance, Operations and Engineering teams.Works well in a fast paced/changing environment that is deadline driven.Well organized and with proven multitasking & prioritization skills.Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree and CAPPA certificate would be an asset.Experience in using Production Accounting Systems, Petrinex, PVR Field Data Capture System, EC, ERP Systems, and Land Systems.Note: The application deadline for this position is 11:59 PM MT April 01, 2024.If you require accessibility assistance to complete the on-line application or otherwise apply for an open position with Cenovus, its subsidiaries and affiliates, please email .Internal candidates that are currently in a lower grade will be assessed based on their sustained job performance, how they demonstrate the expected organizational competency behaviors and values and in discussions with their current leader prior to determining next steps.Who we are:We\xe2\x80\x99re an integrated energy company headquartered in Calgary with oil and natural gas production operations in Canada and the Asia Pacific region, and upgrading, refining and marketing operations in Canada and the United States.
