Purpose:
Crescent Point has an opportunity for a highly motivated Royalty Analyst to join our Operations Accounting team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the group, responsible for assisting in managing a large portfolio of Freehold and Gross Overriding royalties. The role has potential for further career development within the Operations Accounting team.
Main Responsibilities & Activities:
- Review and recording of Crescent Point\'s royalty revenue
- Administer the monthly Freehold and GORR cheque run process
- Monthly account reconciliations
- Calculation and recording of Crescent Point\'s NPI obligations
- Create financial journal entries with associated back-up
- Handling of 3rd party royalty queries
- Research and correction of royalty adjustments
- Ensure internal controls are working effectively
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements
- Maintain constructive working relationships with both internal and external business partners
Three - Five years of Royalty, Joint Venture, or Production Accounting experience- Experience with Metrix, Qbyte FM, CS Explorer, Accumap, and Energylink would be considered an asset
- Strong Microsoft Office skills are required with above average proficiency in Excel
- Self-starter with strong analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines and timelines
- Experience with Power BI reporting would be an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
