Purpose:
Crescent Point has an opportunity for a highly motivated Royalty Analyst to join our Operations Accounting team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the group, responsible for assisting in managing a large portfolio of Freehold and Gross Overriding royalties. The role has potential for further career development within the Operations Accounting team.
Main Responsibilities & Activities:
Review and recording of Crescent Point\'s royalty revenue
Administer the monthly Freehold and GORR cheque run process
Monthly account reconciliations
Calculation and recording of Crescent Point\'s NPI obligations
Create financial journal entries with associated back-up
Handling of 3rd party royalty queries
Research and correction of royalty adjustments
Ensure internal controls are working effectively
Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements
Maintain constructive working relationships with both internal and external business partners
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Three - Five years of Royalty, Joint Venture, or Production Accounting experience
Experience with Metrix, Qbyte FM, CS Explorer, Accumap, and Energylink would be considered an asset
Strong Microsoft Office skills are required with above average proficiency in Excel
Self-starter with strong analytical skills
Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines and timelines
Experience with Power BI reporting would be an asset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
