Our team is seeking a Crown Royalty Analyst! In this role you will assist with crown royalty management in all provinces, gas cost allowance management, crown royalty payments, account reconciliations, project support and regulatory compliance. You will be suited for this position if you have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills combined with prior industry knowledge including crown royalties, production accounting land, and regulatory.

Responsibilities:

• Correctly booking of all the crown royalty invoices. Ensure that all royalties and associated credits are booked
• correctly and prepare payments requests for these Government Crown invoices to ensure they are paid on time.
• Collaborate with the crown royalty team to analyze and compile cost data to complete annual gas cost allowance
• (GCA) filings
• Prepare and upload gas cost allowance accruals
• Monthly royalty account reconciliations
• Assist with audit requests related to conventional crown royalties and gas cost allowance (GCA).
• Assist with modernized royalty framework C-star wells (MRF C*) filing for drilling and completion costs
• Annual review of non-op gas cost allowance (GCA)
• Provide back-up coverage as required
• Ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience with conventional crown royalties or related oil and gas accounting experience
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent work experience would be asset
• Familiarity with ERP System (SAP), royalty management system (RMS), Petrinex and land system (CS Land) would be an asset
• Confirmed organizational, analytical, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Knowledgeable of the oil and gas industry
• Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Production accounting and knowledge of Alberta Natural Gas Royalty Regulations would be an asset
• Proficient in Excel with excellent data management and reporting capabilities
• A great teammate with the ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new situations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate
