Kavosh AI & Robotics Academy is an award-winning educational institute dedicated to training young innovators for international robotics competitions such as FIRA and RoboCup. Our students learn real-world STEM applications through robotics, AI, and engineering challenges under the guidance of passionate coaches from the tech industry.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a part-time Robotics Coach to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in robotics, programming, and 3D design, with the ability to teach and mentor students aged 7-18.

This is a contractor role, offering flexible hours and the opportunity to work with competitive robotics teams preparing for FIRA and RoboCup events.

Responsibilities:

Teach and coach students for robotics competitions (FIRA, RoboCup, etc.) Guide students in machine vision, image processing, and Python programming Support projects using LEGO Robotics kits, Raspberry Pi, and similar platforms Introduce students to 3D design and mechanical modeling (Fusion, SolidWorks, or Inventor preferred) Manage class content and assist students with hands-on robot building and testing Attend workshops and demos to engage with parents and students Send class announcements and updates prior to each session Submit class reports after every session Provide personalized progress reports for each student after every 30 hours of instruction
Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of Python and image processing / machine vision Experience with 3D design tools (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar) Background in robotics, AI, or STEM education Previous participation in FIRA, RoboCup, or similar competitions is a strong asset Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to manage and motivate student teams English required; Mandarin is an asset
Schedule & Compensation:

Part-time, flexible hours (3-24 teaching hours per week, depending on performance and demand) Contract-based role Hourly rate: $20-$50/hour (based on teaching quality and number of students) Multiple teaching locations available across the Greater Vancouver area
