The Road Safety Champion will be charged with implementing programs, processes and procedures in all aspects of Road safety at the business lines level.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a Road Safety role model and strive towards helping their logistic sites and themselves to achieve Road Safety excellence.
Ensure that all requirements of the Road Safety Program, IMS_GP06 Road Safety, GT-PR-TRN-003 Road Transportation and myIMS Risk Mastering Road Safety are implemented and controlled.
Encourage drivers not participating in Road Safety audits to do so.
Collect, review, and share with drivers the results of Road Safety Events, Road Safety Alerts and audit findings and trends.
Maintain the Road Safety postings on the designated bulletin board/ IM BI reports for their home facility to ensure it is current.
Bring any unresolved Road Safety issues or concerns at their logistic sites to the attention of plant management, zone or business line management, and NAM Road Safety specialist.
Participate in monthly IM ops meetings.
Share general Road Safety information on applicable company incidents and learnings are shared with drivers.
Keep aware of draft Road Safety procedure/document updates and share changes with logistic management and drivers.
Bring forward any employee concerns to Road Safety so they can be considered when changes are promulgated.
Address other Road Safety issues assigned by Facility manager or NAM Road Safety.
Keeping up and making sure everyone at their facility is completing their mandatory Road Safety training.
Promote and participate in Corporate or Local Road Safety campaigns.
Work closely with the NAM Road Safety Specialist.
Are you a MATCH?
REQUIRED EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years Professional driving experience.
3-5 years experience in transportation safety initiatives, fleet management and/or road safety.
Good knowledge of current computerized systems, Aware of emerging technologies,
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, oral and written communication skills.
Certifications and specialized training in the area of road safety.
