Find the Reward in the RiskWe are looking for an innovative candidate to join our team as our Risk Analyst! This strategic role develops and administers the City's corporate Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, insurance program and claim management process. The Risk Analyst identifies and assesses risks to the City's finances, service levels and ability to achieve strategic objectives, working with other departments to develop plans and responses that mitigate risk. This position acts as an internal resource for all City functions, managing risks associated with the work we do from roadway operations, building inspections, youth programs, strategic initiatives and more.DutiesQualifications
- University Degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration or related field
- Certification(s) in risk management or insurance from:
- the Global Risk Management Institute / Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc;
- the Insurance Institute of Canada;
- the Insurance Council of BC; or
- the Society of Actuaries
- Minimum 5 years' experience in risk management, insurance, change management or related field
