Role Description

The Database analyst will provide support in database capacity planning, installation, configuration, design, migration, performance monitoring, security, and troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery.

Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7Monitors, troubleshoots and optimizes database performance

\xc2\xb7Identifies and manages database bottlenecks

\xc2\xb7Create, maintain and run scripts base done requirements

\xc2\xb7Respond to incidents and problems

\xc2\xb7Administers patches according to Vulnerability Management Standards

\xc2\xb7Perform database backups and recovery

\xc2\xb7Performs database capacity planning

\xc2\xb7Tests and analyzes data base performance

\xc2\xb7Creates database installations on servers

\xc2\xb7Oversees database operations

\xc2\xb7Designs and implements database software, maintenance and support requirements

\xc2\xb7Designs and develops interoperability testing of many component products

\xc2\xb7Creates and maintains solution documentation

\xc2\xb7Ensures consistent use of integration of application and middle ware components and database architecture

\xc2\xb7Other duties as assigned

SKILL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

The following are minimum qualifications and/or experience for the delivery of the Services. The Resource must have the following minimum qualifications or experience:

\xc2\xb7Minimum of five (5) years of experience creating and administering complex databases in an enterprise environment.

\xc2\xb7Strong technical proficiency,troubleshootingskillsandoperationalknowledgeofhostingtechnologyin a corporate data centor environment

\xc2\xb7Abilitytoprovidedatamigrationsupportanddatamigrationeffortforcomplexmulti- location sites

\xc2\xb7Ability to analyze and solve problems

\xc2\xb7Ability to adapt change in dynamically evolving situations

\xc2\xb7Ability to work in a team environment

\xc2\xb7Excellent customer service skills

SERVICES AND DELIVERABLES

All Services will be performed on-site with primary location at 215 Garry Street, Winnipeg, in the province of Manitoba, regardless of the location of residence of the Proponent\xe2\x80\x99s resource. The service location of the resource may change as a part of STATEMENT OF WORK between Proponent and Manitoba. Manitoba at its sole discretion may provide an option to work remotely. The remote working rate is the rate at which the proponent\xe2\x80\x99s resource will work primarily remotely and called onsite if needed at Manitoba\xe2\x80\x99s sole discretion. The onsite rate is the rate at which the proponent\'s resource will work primarily on site as per the location defined in STATEMENT OF WORK and may work remotely if needed with prior written permission from Manitoba at its sole discretion. The Proponent shall provide discounted remote working rate along with onsite rate for their resources in the submission. The average of both working rates will be used for the final price per point of the proposed resource.

Standard working hours for the resource will be in accordance with Manitoba usual working hours of 8.30 am to 4.30 pm CST (7.25 hours per day), Monday to Friday. Manitoba offices are closed on all Manitoba statutory holidays, and these days will be unpaid. Manitoba at its sole discretion may decide that at certain times extended working hours are needed to meet project deadlines. But extended working hours are to cover exceptional circumstances and may not be available during the entire duration of the engagement with the proponent\xe2\x80\x99s resource. Overtime work cannot be used and billed unless approved by Manitoba with an advanced written approval.
