Our client in North GTA is actively looking for a Revenue/Accounting Clerk to join their team.

Job Title: Revenue/Accounting Clerk
Location: North GTA, ON
Length of Assignment: Temporary
Salary: $18.00 - 20.00 hourly

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Services, this position is responsible for supporting the revenue and accounts payable units to meet service delivery needs. This will include backfilling activities, performing billing and analytical tasks, providing customer service and supporting staff on financial services initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting revenue services and accounts payable business units. This could include but is not limited to utility billing and collection, entering AP invoices, entering utility accounts, handling customer/vendor calls and e-mails, etc.
• Document filing and scanning.
• General financial analysis i.e. process mapping, accounts reconciliation, supplier analysis, write-offs, etc.
• Assisting with database management and clean up i.e. vendor review, merging customer accounts, purging historic reports, etc.
• Supporting financial service initiatives.
• Contributes and participates in division team meetings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a post-secondary institution pursuing a diploma or degree in Business or Accounting
• 1-2 years' experience in an office environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general financial applications.
• Intellectually curious and eager to learn new things.
• Problem solving ability required to analyze data and make recommendations.
• Judgment is required to apply practice, escalate issues and setting own priorities.
