Corporate Law Clerk
Job Description
Shapiro Real Estate and Business Lawyers is a boutique law firm with a focus on Real Estate and Business Law. We are looking to hire a Corporate law clerk with 3 years of experience to join our team.Duties & Responsibilities : - Draft corporate legal documents (i.e.: incorporations, amalgamations, arrangements, acquisitions, reorganizations, amendments etc.);
- Conduct due diligence reviews and rectify any deficiencies;
- Assisting lawyers and/or law clerks with due diligence reviews;
- Maintain and update minute books and files;
- Examining and verifying share capital and recommending changes as needed.
- Maintaining integrity of Corporate Database and all record keeping systems.
- Coordinate multi-jurisdictional transactions with lawyers and clerks in other offices; and
- Perform general and annual corporate maintenance.Requirements: - 3+ years experience in corporate law;
- Law Clerk diploma or certificate from an accredited institute preferred;
- Experience working on due diligence, extra-provincial maintenance and matters, and audit inquiries, incorporation and amalgamation; and
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per yearSchedule:
- Monday to Friday

- legal assistant: 1 year (preferred)
