Urban Nature Store is seeking a part-time Team Member for our flagship Etobicoke store located at 100 The East Mall (427 & The Queensway).

Required Skills and Qualifications

1 year of retail or service related experience (Pet, birding or garden sector experience would be an asset) An interest in wild birding Strong retail merchandising skills Open availability - Days, evenings & weekends. Ability to read, write and speak English Basic math skills as it relates to retail sales Intermediate computer skills Ability to work independently Ability to lift 50 lbs bags Have a reliable means of transportation to and from the store Enthusiasm for learning and personal growth.
Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be responsible for:

interacting with customers and providing superior customer service, including recommending appropriate products and demonstrating their proper usage. processing transactions on a computerized POS system accepting all forms of payments (cash, debit, credit) processing returns and exchanges assisting with the maintenance of several Google spreadsheets promotion of our loyalty rewards program receiving bi-weekly shipments filling seed from master to smaller bags maintaining a clean, organized and well-merchandised store
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
