Job Summary
Sales Associate required for a bedroom store
A bedroom store in the northwestern part of Edmonton is looking for an energetic, assertive, communicative and tech-savvy candidate, for a part-time retail sales associate / administrative assistant role. Working hours could vary from 15 to 20 hours a week. Salary: $15 per hour.
Essential Job Functions

• Ability to demonstrate, explain and present luxury and standard bedding products to customers, including (but not limited to) mattresses, toppers, pillows, accessories, foam, towels and sheets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced tech environment, and achieve sales goals in accordance to the changing business needs
• Understand and respond appropriately to customer inquiries, proficiently handle after-sales calls and follow ups.
• Receive, check, and shelve merchandise orders; confirm purchase orders and manage the store's inventory.
• Read all merchandising bulletins in order to understand product assortment and answer product questions based on company approved information.
• Ability to operate store point of sale register; complete store daily open/close functions and bank deposits according to company's policies and procedures
• Responsible for keeping store clean and uncluttered as per company standards
• Passionate team player dedicated to continually bringing a fresh perspective and operational efficiency to the team
• Must be able to work alone, be a self-starter with a willingness to learn
• Cheerful attitude and professional demeanor

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED Certificate
• Tech-savvy, math-proficient and computer-friendly skills is a MUST.
• Preferable to have 1 year of specialty retail selling and merchandising experience, with an emphasis on specialty retail products

**Work Schedule

• Requires morning, afternoon and evening availability
• Schedule may be changed by store management based on the needs of the business

Work Environment / Travel / Physical Demands

• Normal retail store environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, etc.
• Must be able to work independently with supervision at regular intervals
• Bending, lifting, reaching for and moving merchandise. Ability to move mattresses and small display fixtures around.
