Job description

Primary responsibilities include:

Love pets, obviously! Have a HIGHLY flexible schedule, consisting of daytime and evening availability; this position is PART TIME ONLY, and will vary anywhere from 12-20 hours per week. PLEASE NOTE: this is NOT a seasonal position, this is a permanent, part-time role in our store Feel confident working both independently, as well as with our other awesome team members Cashier and customer sales; process purchases, payments, and returns Placing small items (under 10 lbs) including pet supplies, etc. into stock in the sales area of the store Assist in unloading delivery vehicles of cases and bags of pet food and supplies and putting these into stock (items up to 50 lbs.) Thrive on being in an extremely busy, challenging, fast-paced work environment Have a deep passion for helping and educating people on pet wellness Understand why we actually like green vegetables and fresh food for pets (or be willing to learn why!) Have reliable transportation

Other responsibilities may include:

Preparing merchandise orders and other miscellaneous paperwork Sweeping, dusting and other general store maintenance functions to maintain store appearance and cleanliness Other duties and tasks as required

Qualifications:

Retail/Customer service experience is a must. Comfortable handling customer questions/concerns. Strong oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills e.g., POS. Knowledge and experience working in the pet industry is an asset. Knowledge and experience with natural pet products and wellness is an asset.
