Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Customer Service Quarterback, passionate, provides top level service to Slegg customers
• Ensure needs of customers are being fulfilled at sales desk, tills, and phones
• Greet and assist customers in a manner that models exemplary conduct to other staff
• Ensure all customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution
• Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers

People Management

• Hold staff accountable for performance, attendance, and misconduct
• Manage in-store employee hours and overtime, performance, attendance and misconduct
• Ensure that all health, safety and security regulations are adhered to and required standards are met
• Select, interview, orient, and train new employees

Retail

• Manage all aspects of the store retail functions
• Supervise all staff in the branch and coordinate work to ensure productive operations throughout the business day
• Oversee all front-end and back-end operations, store replenishment, cycle count team
• Inventory Lead for all quarterly and year end counts
• Execute store merchandising standards, ensure product is presented neatly and items are priced correctly
• Manage the pricing in a product\xe2\x80\x99s life cycle by taking seasonal changes into account

Requirements

• A broad knowledge of building supplies is necessary
• One year or more experience in an administrative environment
• Must be available on weekends
• Business and HR acumen
• Ability to work under conditions of pressure and adjust to urgent situations
• Superior customer service and interpersonal skills
• Competitive spirit and results driven
• Computer Skills required- advanced Microsoft Excel
• Proficient in Navision
• Self-motivated, flexible and eager to learn new things
• A positive can do attitude is essential!

The Location - Keating (Saanichton), 2046 Keating Cross Rd

We are located on Keating Cross Road in the commercial district of Saanichton which is on the Saanich Peninsula of Greater Victoria. This area was first inhabited by the Wsanec First Nations people, who now live in four communities on the Saanich Peninsula; Tsartlip, Tsawout, Pauquachin, and Tseycum.
